Q & A with Dr. Lee Thornton — Founder of BUCKiT RANCH

Q: What made you want to start a skincare line for men?
Dr. Lee: I was tired of seeing guys like me — guys who like to work outside, sweat hard, and get beat up by the elements — using skincare products that weren’t made for us. Most of what’s out there is either too greasy, too complicated, or made for people sitting behind desks all day. I wanted something clean, simple, and built to perform — no fluff, no filler. That’s how BUCKiT RANCH  started.

Q: You're a doctor and a rancher — how do those worlds come together?
Dr. Lee: I’ve spent years studying skin health in the clinic, and a lifetime working the land. As a sixth-generation rancher, I know firsthand what sun, dust, wind, and sweat can do to your face. I also know that most men don’t want a 12-step routine — they just want something that works. So I took everything I knew from medicine and everything I lived on the ranch, and blended them into products that deliver real results, fast.

Q: Tell us more about your family’s ranching roots.
Dr. Lee: My family’s been ranching for over 150 years — from the hills of Mississippi to the wide-open country of Texas. I grew up watching my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather work the land with grit and pride. That lifestyle shapes you. It teaches you to respect the land, take care of what you’ve got, and keep things simple and honest. BUCKiT RANCH is built on those same values.
